A stronger commitment to environmental and social issues
The focus of our work in 2013 has been organizational change, effective communication and stakeholder engagement. We have come a long way in establishing a cross-cutting and multi-disciplinary organizational structure in order to expand the existing know-how on environmental and social sustainability and synchronize the efforts on monitoring, reporting and enhancing sustainability performance across the group.
The positive outcomes of these efforts were visible in short term as we were selected among the best companies in by CDP Turkey with regards to tackling climate change. While reporting to CDP, we continued to be an active participant at the Airport Carbon Accreditation program and continued towards achieving international best standards in areas such as energy management and occupational health and safety. We will continue strengthening our cooperation and solidarity through our corporate learning platform TAV Academy as well as personal development platforms such as TAV Workshop, TAV Cup and TAV Volunteers.
In the short term, we plan on concentrate our efforts on tackling climate change through increased efficiency in energy management. In social milieu, we’ll strengthen stakeholder engagement and cooperation with social partners.
