SOCIAL IMPACTS

We see our terminals as places of social interaction.

Therefore, we designed TAV Gallery, an exhibition space that would provide passengers with the opportunity to enjoy their moments at the airport. Each day thousands of people visit TAV Gallery, which showcase arts and cultures items with a local or global context.

TAV Gallery is open at Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

In 2013, TAV Gallery hosted a number of exhibitions, with titles ranging from “history of commercial aviation in Turkey” to underwater photographer Tahsin Ceylan’s work.

Between June 10 and 12, we hosted the ACI World and ACI Europe’s fair and annual congress in Istanbul, welcoming more than 800 senior executives from 1,751 airports in 174 countries.

Established to promote an active lifestyle for TAV employees, TAV Cup tournaments in football, basketball, bowling and several other branches were held.

Skalite 13 Awards, Young Guru Academy Summit, PERYON HR Summit, 13th Istanbul Biennial, Institut du Bosphore were among the events and organizations we supported.

Visited by more than 7 million people in 130 cities, Dialogue in the Dark exhibition opened in Istanbul and for the first time, an airport simulation was added to the layout, with the support of TAV. Visitors experienced the daily life of visually impaired persons as they explored the exhibition in total darkness.

As a continuation of our corporate social responsibility approach, we established TAV Volunteers group, where TAV employees contributed to social responsibility projects in Izmir and Istanbul.

In Macedonia, TAV Volunteers created a library in collaboration with YGA.
